I look at how people interact with a business holistically to identify pain-points and opportunities.
Surveys + Interviews
I use these research methods to enable me to gather attitudinal insights during each phase of the design process.
I observe user's behaviour to uncover whether there is a need for a suggested product and gather qualitative data.
Using insights collected from market research, industry reports and studies etc. I make key design decisions.
Since my Google Analytics skills are basic I love working closely with Data Analysts to gather important insights.
To organise content and create hierarchy I conduct exercises such as grouping, card sorting and tree testing.
I use both low fidelity sketch prototypes and interactive high fidelity prototypes to present and test websites.
This is important because people judge the quality of a product higher and think it works better when it's attractive.
User Interface Design
I like to follow the 10 usability heuristics for user interface design to ensure I've created the best user experience.
I create meaningful relationships between people and products by using the most common interaction patterns.
Using either my front-end dev skills in HTML/CSS or a CMS I can build whatever is required from banners to websites.
I like to setup usability testis to observe whether my design was successful and uncover any unaddressed pain-points.
I love to create non-distracting and light animation to dynamically bring a page to life and improve a user's experience.
I use experimentation to improve UX which in turn has proven to result in an increase in revenue.
